本片是2010年十一月在纽约大都会歌剧院的演出实况，由涅翠柯、波连札尼、克韦琴与戴尔卡洛担任剧中四个要角，可说是当前歌剧界的zui佳组合。涅翠柯的演技让诺丽娜这个泼辣的角色相当惹人喜爱，与巴斯夸瓜雷或埃奈斯托的二重唱高音清晰明亮。戴尔卡洛诠释的「巴斯夸雷」，是一个慈爱的老人，而非一般人印象中脾气暴躁的怪老头，与饰演医生的克韦琴的二重唱，更是整晚zui闪亮的焦点。

莱文的表现一如往常让人印象深刻，特别是他在音乐裡注入的能量与热情，乐团总是能适时与适量的展现出来。
